 As many users of the
Hounsfield Tensometer have found, the conventional method of force readout is very
inconvenient and difficult to use. As a consequence we now
have available a kit which will convert your Hounsfield from mercury column to a digital
readout.
By converting in this manner
the Hounsfield's grips and accessories are still used, thus maintaining uniformity of test
piece preparation. The dangers of using mercury are also eliminated. The digital force
readout system provides you with greater ease of operation, whilst giving you a more
accurate means of force readout.
The kit comprises the
following:
- 1# AC9600 Indicator
- 1# Load Cell
- 1# Load Cell attachment piece
- 1# attachment for crosshead extension measurement. (Optional)

either on site or at our factory
